Van Insulation

The loading compartment is insulated with the use of the latest production methods, that no other factory in Greece has.

Specifically, the procedure for creating a kit for a van has the following steps:

  • The interior of the van is 3D scanned
  • Then the insulation is computer designed for the maximum use of space and the minimum thermal bridges
  • The panels are cuted with CNC machines.
  • Molds are used for difficult parts such as doors, frames etc
  • And inox parts are being installed in order to reinforce specific areas.

The panels we use consist of polyester, reinforced with marine wood, in order to have increased mechanical strength. Their main insulating component is the extruded polystyrene, due to its excellent humidity behavior and great mechanical properties.

At the same time, the panels cover all the bodywork, so there are no heat bridges.

Insulation is also applied to doors, with the use of special molds that can be removed, in case there is need for repairs (change of locks, hinges, etc.).

In order to achieve the best rates of thermal transfer, a second frame is created on the door openings.

The floor is made of reinforced panel, that has a non-slip surface and joins with the side walls to form a polyester basin.

Special stainless steel reinforcements are placed on the doorstep in order to be protected from the cargo, while drainage holes are opened, to protect the chamber against liquids.

All of the above procedures contribute significantly, to the best possible protection of the car, providing greater durability, as well as safety and ergonomics for the driver.
